Once you have found a property you wish to buy we will take you on to the next stage of the process. In France there are two contracts to be signed; one straight away and one on completion. The initial contract is called a 'compromis de vente' (provisional sales agreement) and covers all details of the sale and gives both the buyer and seller piece of mind that the sale has been secured for them, once the 7 day cooling off period has been completed. The time between the signing of the compromis de vente and the final contract is approximately 2/3 months.
On the completion date the final contract will be signed with the notaire and the keys of the property are handed to you and voila you become the owner! No worries, we will accompany you through every step of this process, including all dealings with the notaire (solicitor)
